It was a busy afternoon of football at the Bowl on Saturday as three Isle of Man FA representative sides hosted visiting teams.
The opening match saw the FA’s under-18s play Tranmere Rovers u18s, the Manx winning 1-0.
The only goal in the match came with only two minutes played in the second half when Lewis Bridson’s low cross from the left was met by Cameron Torr who slotted home at the near post.
The second fixture witnessed the island’s Masters side take on Breckfield FC.
It was the visitors took a two-goal half-time lead thanks to strikes from Mike Schofield and Mark Kenny.
However, Nigel Moody pulled a goal back in the second half for the Manx when he directed home a glancing header. With the last attack of the game the islanders drew level when Martin Torr intercepted a visiting goal-kick and rolled the ball into an unguarded net to make it 2-2.
In the remaining fixture, the IoMFA’s U23s defeated Tranmere Rovers U23 3-2.
The Birkenhead side were two goals up at the interval before goals from Mike Williams, Joey Morling and Shaun Kelly fired the Manx to the win.
